Buying A Car After Bankruptcy? These Suggestions Could Help
If you are buying a car after bankruptcy, here are a few suggestions that could help:
First, you want to make sure you ve done everything you can to increase your credit score. Once you ve done that you re ready to start shopping for your car!
Here s a question for you: Is it better to get outside financing or get financing through the dealership when you are buying a car after bankruptcy. The answer is... drum roll please... it depends!
It s worthwhile to apply for outside financing when buying a car after bankruptcy. But make sure you do it through the right lender. If you don t, you could end up paying $100s or $1,000s more in extra interest. If you even get approved at all.
Now let s assume you ve done your homework. You found the car you like, you know how much that make and model sells for, and you know how much your trade in is worth. It s time to visit the dealership...
Let s say you find the specific car you want to buy. Now you re going to need to negotiate the price.
If you lined up outside financing, then you re in a good position from a negotiating standpoint. But what if you could not get outside financing for a car after bankruptcy? What if you need to depend on the dealership to get you financed when buying the car after bankruptcy?
Many people think that since they had a bankruptcy they are at the mercy of the car dealership in this situation. THIS SIMPLY IS NOT TRUE!
Let me share a little secret with you: If the dealership has run your credit report and they start negotiating with you, then they re pretty sure they can finance you. After all, do you really think they would waste their time negotiating a price with someone they did not think they could finance? Of course not!
Here s where things get interesting. How many times a year does the dealership negotiate with buyers? Probably hundreds of times a year at a decent sized dealership. Now what about you - how many times do you negotiate for a car? If you are like most people, it s probably once every so many years.
Most people will thoroughly research the price of the car they want to buy. If it s new they ll take time to find out the dealership s cost and, if they have one, the value of their trade in.
...and they ll go back and forth with the dealership for two or three hours until everyone agrees on the numbers and a sale takes place.
Chances are the buyer still may have left a pile of money on the table - and didn t even know it. The reason the buyer probably left money on the table is that they more than likely made two critical mistakes without even being aware of it. One mistake was that they didn t negotiate all five parts of the sale separately. The price of the car is just one part.
On that note, another step you will want to take is to improve your car buying skills. How? Visit websites that provide car buying tips. Another way is to pick up a good book on how to buy a car - you can find quite a few of them out there. Unfortunately, I have not run across any that provide specific information on buying a car after bankruptcy. However, After Bankruptcy Credit Solutions does cover this topic in detail - so the information is out there.
Other than a home, buying a car is one of the bigger purchases you re going to make. You need to AVOID any mistakes that can cost you up to $100s or $1,000s of dollars in extra interest. In other words, you simply can t afford not to get things right when you re buying a car after bankruptcy.
This article covered some steps you can take which could help when buying a car after bankruptcy. Put them to use and they could save you from making some expensive mistakes!

A Fresh Look At Roller Window Shades
For a window covering that is versatile, attractive and effective for controlling light, roller shades are a good choice for windows in any room. Shades were once simple items that blocked light but came in few colors or styles. But today, any imaginable color, texture and pattern can be found on shades in order to match any d cor. There are also a wide range of thicknesses available, giving a deeper dimension to the texture of shades as well as offering more control over light levels.
Hunter Douglas roller shades have a complete collection of roller shades that not only incorporate the many style variations, but also varied hems and rods. Remembrance Roller Shades have many different styles of hem to choose from, giving homeowners a much larger array of styles. Along with the standard hem familiar to most roller shades, there are also several stylized designs that add an extra dimension and personalization to the shades. Hem styles can be chosen to coordinate with the available styles and colors to create any look required. In addition to the hem styles, Hunter Douglas Roller Shades also have intricate trim styles available. Coordinating the hem, trim, texture and color of shades creates a personalized look that rivals custom made roller shades.
Once the style and color of the shades have been chosen, there are also shades that employ different methods of closure. The standard Hunter Douglas Roller Shade models are constructed with a cord loop, driven by a chain and clutch operated. This type of shade can be made to roll down either in front or in back of the roller. For those with children who may come in contact with the shades, the SoftRise spring lift roller shades uses a spring instead of a continuous cord. This provides an extra measure of safety and efficiency, as the spring loaded shades have no looped cord and are simple to operate. The standard cassette system offers another style of roller shade construction. The cassette system comes with a covered area at the top to conceal the rolled shade. This cassette can come with either a fabric covered cassette or one without fabric. There is also further personalization available in the size of the cassette, which can be small, or a more prominent large cassette.
To keep these shades in their best possible condition, Hunter Douglas Remembrance Roller Shades with the spring lift or cassette system come with yet another option to improve the life of the shades. By using an optional decorative pull, the shade never has to be touched and stained by repeated contact. The pulls come in several colors and in even more decorative shapes. These colors and styles can then be coordinated with style and pattern of the shade.
The entire window, covered with a Hunter Douglas Roller Shade, becomes a complete system allowing in as little or as much light as desired. The thickness and texture of the roller shades make curtains or other window treatments unnecessary. And, with the level of style and personalization available with Hunter Douglas Roller Shades, there s little chance that an owner would desire to keep them covered.

Cadillac s Smaller SUV: The SRX
The American motoring public is slowly turning their backs on gas guzzling sport utility vehicles. The skyrocket increase in the price of gas for the past two years have affected the way most car buyers choose new cars. But there are still those who are looking for the versatility and the performance of large vehicles like SUVs.
In response to this, car makers continue building better sport utility vehicles. One car manufacturer who is still churning out SUVs is the legendary Cadillac brand. The luxury brand has two sport utility vehicles: the Escalade - known for its size and popularity among NBA players and rappers, and the smaller SRX.
The SRX may lack the size that the Escalade boasts around but this smaller SUV offers performance and luxury that surely makes it at par with the Escalade if not for popularity. It shares the same platform with the GMC Acadia, but since the SRX is a Cadillac, it offers more luxury features. The vehicle is configured as a rear-wheel drive vehicle but an all wheel drive configuration is available.
Consumers also have a choice as to what engine to equip their SRX with. The selection is composed of a 3.6 liter V6 engine and a 4.6 liter Northstar V8. The immense amount of power from these engines can be transferred to the wheels via two available transmissions. For the V6, a five-speed automatic can be fitted while for the V8, a six-speed automatic transmission is available. Both engines are capable of producing much power that brake components from EBC Active Brakes Direct can handle efficiently and with ease.
The combination of the engine and their corresponding transmissions gives drivers the convenience of gear shifting. The SRX can handle hill climbs without sorting to manual transmission due to the low end torque provided by the engine. The Cadillac SRX is engineered to offer the optimum in performance, thanks to its highly reliable drivetrain. And since the SRX is a Cadillac, one can be sure to find good luxury features.
Indeed, Cadillac took care of the luxury features of this car just like it does with the Escalade. The seats are comfortable with good back and side support. The seats offer comfort even on long drives. They are also heated for those cold winter drives. Aside from steering, the steering wheel is where drivers can control the audio entertainment system in the vehicle. Cadillac designed the audio controls to be integrated into the steering wheel in a spot where drivers will not accidentally hit them.
Another luxury feature that the Cadillac SRX boasts of is a sunroof which covers the first two rows of seats. For those who like to sit back and relax on an SUV with great performance, the SRX is the right vehicle. You also do get to enjoy the warmth of the sun as you drive along with your sunroof open.
